LokaCraft — Digital Catalog Platform for Local Artisans
Business Challenge
Indonesia has over 700,000 artisans producing textiles, woodcraft, ceramics, jewelry, and woven goods. Most operate without any digital presence, relying on word-of-mouth and occasional trade fair participation. Artisans who do sell online struggle with product photography, accurate inventory tracking, and documentation required for export (material origin certificates, customs declarations). A single artisan we worked with had orders from 3 different countries but lost 2 of them because they could not provide the required export documentation in time.
## Solution Architecture
Solution Architecture
We built a mobile-first platform with four integrated modules: Digital Catalog for professional product presentation with multi-angle photography, dimension specifications, material composition, and production story. Material Certification tracking raw material origins, sustainable sourcing documentation, and batch traceability. Inventory Management with real-time stock tracking across raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Export Shipping integration with multiple courier APIs for rate comparison, label generation, customs documentation, and shipment tracking.
